Our Journey Together

In 1992, Matt and Amy Sams, began a journey together,
 a journey of a lifetime.

Matt is an ordained minister and a graduate
of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

 Amy is an English teacher and a
graduate of the Universtiy of Texas.

God has called us to labor beside one another in cultivating the harvest field He has set before us.

Spade Ministries, Inc. was born out of that calling
 and is a 501 (c) 3 public charity.

Evangelical Christian Missions
is about people, not programs.
 
Our beliefs are conservative evangelical Christianity.

The Bible

We at Spade Ministries, Inc. believe and assert
that the Bible is God's Word.
The Bible is entirely inspired by God; without failure in purpose; free from error in all matters; completely authoritative and accurate; and relevant for all peoples, in all places, at all times
(Psalm 119:105 & 160; Proverbs 3:5; II Timothy 1:13, 3:16; Hebrews 4:12; II Peter 1:20-21).

God

We at Spade Ministries Inc. believe and assert that there is one true living God. God is eternal and exists in three persons. He is Spirit and Truth. He reveals Himself to mankind as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit with distinct personal attributes, without division of nature, essence, or being. God is Spirit and Truth. God is intelligent, spiritual, and a personal Being the Creator, the Sole Redeemer of man, the Preserver, and the Ruler of the universe. God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe, His creations, according to the purposes of His grace. He is all powerful, all-loving and all wise (Genesis 1:1, 26-27; Psalm 90:2; Isaiah 26:8; Acts 17:2-24; II Corinthians 13:14;
I Peter 1:2)

The Holy Spirit

We at Spade Ministries, Inc. believe and asert that the Holy Spirit conducts present day ministry by indwelling the believer in Christ enabling the believer to live a godly life. The Holy Spirit does not act independently of the Trinity or the Scriptures (John 16:7-14, 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; I Corinthians 3:17; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 1:13, 5:18;
I Corinthians 12:4, 11-14,18).

Jesus the Christ

We at Spade Ministries, Inc. believe and assert that Jesus the Christ is completely divine and fully human. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. Christ lived a sinless life; taught according to the Scriptures; performed miracles, signs, and wonders; was crucified; died; was buried, and resurrected physically. Christ sits at the right hand of God the Father; is the Head of the Church, and will return to rule the earth for 1,000 years. Christ is the sole judge of the living and the dead. His death was sacrificial and provides atonement for sin. Christ is the perfect acceptable blood sacrifice as required in Scripture (Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:22-23; John 1:1-14; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 1:3-4; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 1 Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13;
 Hebrews 4:14-15).

Salvation

Salvation is found only by faith in Jesus's atonement for sin. Man is in need of salvation and cannot save himself. Salvation can neither be earned nor deserved. Salvation is freely offered to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior by faith. By His shed blood redemption is obtained. Salvation includes regeneration, santification, and glorification (John 1:12; 14:6; Romans 5:1, 6:23; Galatians 3:36; Ephesians 2:8-9;
Titus 3:5)

The Resurrection

We at Spade Ministries, Inc. believe and affirm that there is a ressurection of both the redeemed and the unrepentant. The redeemed will be resurrected to eternal glory in the presence of Christ, while the unrepentant will be resurrected to eternal damnation (Matthew 24:27,30,36,44; 25:1-46; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18, 5:1; II Peter 3:7; Revelation :18, 3:11, 20:1-22:13).

Every Christian has value and purpose according to the Bible. With respect to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:8), each Christian has a responsibility. Spade Ministries, Inc. seeks to equip and prepare the Christian for his and her act of labor in the open fields of harvest(Ephesians 4:11-12).
